Engineered stone counter tops are a becoming a very popular choice for today's kitchen and bathroom designers as a durable, design-friendly option when remodeling. Engineered stone is manufactured using stone aggregate and combining that with resin and color pigment to create a great, almost natural looking stone counter top.

Engineered Stone and quartz surfaces are mixed with resins and color pigment to create any multitude of colors. As there is no veining or cracks in engineered stone, it is extremely uniform. One of its greatest assets is the consistency in its pattern and is therefore ideal for large counter top surfaces or large areas in general.

Made up of 93% quartz, engineered stone is a very hard surface and extremely durable. When mixed with the resin and color pigment, engineered stone becomes quite stain resistant, heat resistant, immune to chemicals, hygienic and unlike most natural stone surfaces, does not need treatment with sealers. Its ease of care makes it a great option for bustling kitchens and bathrooms.

Caring for your Engineered Stone
To clean engineered stone we recommend water and a mild detergent. If you have any difficult stains these can be removed with either Ajax, Gumption or Jif with a plastic scourer. Avoid using harsh chemicals. Although engineered stone is heat resistant sudden changes of temperature especially towards the edges could damage the surface, we advise you use a hot pad or trivet especially when using deep fryers or electric frypans. Engineered stone is tough, but not indestructible.
